Breeder: Bernard le
Courtois
Licenced AES
(The horse was sold to Turkey,
but we have a limited amount of frozen semen in
storage.)
The sire I Love You, French Junior Champion at the age of 7, World Cup Champion 1983, and Reserve World Cup Champion 1984. Horse of the year 1983 in the USA, and being the highest money winner of 2 million Francs. His sire Almé, one of the best ever sires, progeny including Galoubet A and Jalisco B. The dam sister Quadrillon D’Eve is an International Grand Prix horse. Their mother's brothers Huit de Coeur, approved stallion, and Lapsus de Noyer, were both international winners. They come out of a family of winners, such as European Champion Jorphée du Prieur, where grandmother Lacchante de la Dame, by Furioso xx, was also a famous international showjumper. This pedigree includes four of the best-ever mares in France - Elyria, Girondine, Gazelle and Lacchante de la Dame. Eden Mail G was a scopey and bold horse with lovely technique, who also was very rideable. So much so that he was sold to an amateur rider in Turkey, after showing how easy “almost anybody” could ride him, and this way started jumping international. Eden Mail G's son Loganlea Eden was licenced as a stallion after jumping 1.30m classes, and then sold.
The sire I Love You, French Junior Champion at the age of 7, World Cup Champion 1983, and Reserve World Cup Champion 1984. Horse of the year 1983 in the USA, won Grand Prix in Washington, Toronto and Calgary as well as being the highest money winner of 2 million Francs. Not being used so much in breeding in France, since sold just after approval to the USA.
His sire Almé, world famous Nations Cup and Grand Prix horse, also one of the best ever sires, progeny including Galoubet A, French Champion, numerous International Grand Prix wins and member of the French World Champion team, also numerous offspring in international competition, Jalisco B, International Grand Prix and Olympic horse (Seoul), (he also sired the World Champion Quito de Baussy as well as three-quarters of the French Olympic team in Barcelona). Jouau d’Or big international winner as well as Olympic horse (Los Angeles). Jolly Good, indoor Puissance world record holder and full brother to I Love You.
The dam Nouvelle Eve has not competed, but her sister Quadrillon D’Eve is an International Grand Prix horse. Their mother Eve de la Dame was a finalist at Fontainebleau at 4 before being a brood-mare. Her brothers Huit de Coeur, approved stallion, and Lapsus de Noyer, were both international winners.
Nouvelle Eve’s sire Digne Espoir, also known as Kibrahim, sire of four Olympic horses and new international star Belladonna (Katie Monahan-Prudent). Double Espoir and Digne Espoir are ¾ brothers. Digne Espoir and Almé are half brothers, so Eden Mail G is line-bred on Ibrahim.

Qualified for the French Championship for foals at Haras du Pin in November 1992, but was sold just before for a record sum to England. Now started his competitive career, showing great scope and boldness and with a very good technique. Already jumping 1.35m as a 6 year old, with ease, the bigger the better! A sensitive horse with a light mouth, he has a superb rideability, an unusual feature for his big size. Qualified for Milton 6 year old final and Scope Open 1.25m final at Festival of Showjumping in 1998. He never went to the finals due to other commitments. As he still needed to mature we did not want to push this "gentle giant" too fast! Due to an accident in early 1999, unfortunately he was off for more than half a year, and returned to full condition in the autumn, gaining muscle power and getting stronger every day. The following spring he was jumping many double clear rounds in 1,30 - 1,35 classes, gaining many rosettes, but also impressing in his few 1,40 classes. He then went to Belgium, and was placed in his first 1.45 met. International class in Luxembourg., before being sold to Turkey.
His first progeny was born in 1996, showing lovely quality and already impressing with their jumping abilities. They are correct, elegant and 'classy'. The 6year old son Loganlea Eden was shown as a 2 year old in hand, and had two victories of two starts, latest at the big AES show! He now is jumping successfully, with wins and rosettes in up to 1.30 classes, impressing enough to go to the AES grading in spring 2001. He was awarded the Licenced status, and had a few mares the following spring.
The few other youngsters we have seen loose-jumping are looking
very scopey, and show a lovely back-end! Our own Escapade
G, is one of the impressive jumpers.
He sires lighter stock than expected. They are short, active and look classy. Would suit most mares, and as he himself is very brave, he would be excellent for the more careful mare.
